There are three pagodas named Linh Ung in Danang. The first one sits on the Marble Mountains and the second one located on Ba Na Hills. The third and also the most famous one located in Son Tra peninsula, it is considered the largest pagoda and most beautiful in Danang city. Opened in 2010, Linh Ung Pagoda is the most important religious attractions of the city of Danang. Not only it has stunning views of the city, but also the tallest statue in Vietnam, The Lady Buddha statue.
Visiting the pagoda is quite a treat for everyone, as visitors pass through the main gate of the pagoda, they will stumble upon 18 stone statues of the 18 Arhats which are believed to be the original followers of the Buddha. The pagoda is also famous for its giant statue of Lady Buddha - the Buddhist Goddess of Mercy standing on a hill on the Son Tra Peninsula. Within the giant monument, visitors can ascend 17 floors, each displaying Buddha statues depicting many emotions.

The best time to visit Linh Ung Pagoda
If you want to visit Linh Ung Pagoda, the perfect time should be around March to September so you can take a look at the amazing scenery from the pagoda without the worrying about the fog. From September to December is the winter season, so it's constantly raining all the time making it harder for you to walk through the stairs to the pagoda. It's highly recommended wearing a hat or umbrella to avoid the annoying sunlight in the daytime. Also, it's cooler at night, so prepare yourself a jacket to keep your body warm if you visit the place at this time of day.
Getting to the pagoda

Riding a motorbike to Linh Ung Pagoda is the perfect choice if you want to visit this place by yourself. Just go take a left turn at Vo Nguyen Giap street and head straight along the My Khe Beach to Son Tra Peninsula. From here, you can definitely see the Lady Buddha statue, just keep going until you see the entrance to the place. Linh Ung Pagoda is one of the best places for you to take photos at the coastal stripe of Danang. From the pagoda, the visitors may also enjoy the city from above. Near the Lady Buddha statue, there’s balcony where you can have a look at the magnificent view of the ocean. Try to visit the pagoda at night if you can, it’s only time that you can see many lights from fishing boats along the beach and LED lights spread from Danang to the Old Town of Hoi An.
