Tran Phu Beach

Distance from Nha Trang City Centre: 0km

It is highly convenient if you are staying in the Nha Trang center. When you’re frolicking in your swimmers, Tran Phu Beach backs onto Tran Phu Park, creating an amicable separation from the city center. There are many grassy areas in the park where you can relax and buy street food or fresh fruit.

There are also many vendors selling sunchairs that you can rent for a couple of dollars. Many of these vendors will also have a small beach bar where you can purchase drinks and snacks.

The major draw is the boulevard that runs from north to south and is lined with swaying palm trees. Blue waters, powdery sand, and the Lotus Tower square, complete with kite stalls, coconut, ice cream, and cotton candy stalls, will keep you entertained. The nightlife here is vibrant, with bars, nightclubs, souvenir shops, people swaying on rollerblades, and so on. Meditation, spas, surfing, biking, and snorkeling are all options.

Hon Chong Beach

Hon Chong Beach is another popular destination outside Nha Trang’s city center. It’s only a 5-minute drive from the famous Po Nagar Cham Towers, so you can come here after.

This is a beautiful beach without crowds found closer to the city center. There are a few coffee shops and seafood restaurants nearby, but it is not as crowded as the major city center.

One of the most well-liked pastimes is to explore the stacked rocks on the right side of the beach. These rocks have formed a small peninsula out to sea, providing an excellent vantage point. You can see the city center skyscrapers rising above the sandy beach.

Hon Do, also known as Red Island, with a Buddhist temple on a hilltop, and Hon Rua, or Tortoise Island, can also be seen from these rocks.

Bai Dai Beach

Distance from Nha Trang City Centre: 30km

Bai Dai Beach is one of the top Nha Trang beaches and makes an excellent day trip. This is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful beaches in the area.

Bai Dai Beach has a very relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. Its popularity has grown over time because of the backpackers who visit for a day trip, creating a hippy-like atmosphere. You can have fun here by swimming, playing volleyball or soccer, or simply relaxing on the beach. There are also a lot of places to eat and drink nearby, so you won’t go hungry!

Spend hours swimming or relaxing on the beach, playing volleyball or surfing - the choice is yours. You can fill up on seafood, western cuisine, beer, or fruit juices at any beachside restaurant.

Bai Tru Beach

  • How to reach: From Nha Trang, take a cable car, taxi, canoe, or motorcycle to Vinpearl Amusement Park, or take a speedboat or ferry from Nha Trang’s Cao Da Port.

Bai Tru Beach is in Vinh Nguyen Ward on Hon Tre Island. This is undoubtedly one of the most stunning beaches in Nha Trang, and it also is on a beautiful island. Because it does not face out to sea like the beaches on the mainland, the swimming conditions are usually ideal. Instead, the waves are small, and there is little wind. The best weather and conditions for a beach day are found between February and May.

This is an excellent location to escape the city’s hustle and bustle. Swim, snorkel, sunbathe, go fishing, and hike the island’s beaches.

The admission fee to Bai Tru Beach is relatively high at 1,100,000 VND / $48.00. This includes access to Vinpearl amusement park, pools, and a buffet beach via speedboat or cable car. If you intend to visit, we strongly advise you to arrive early and spend the entire day on Hon Tre Island exploring everything it offers, and Vinpearl.

Doc Let Beach

  • Distance from Nha Trang City Centre: 40km
  • How to reach: Public bus from Nha Trang city to Doc Let via Ninh Hoa or taxi from Ninh Hoa via National Route 1.

Doc let is another fantastic beach in Nha Trang. Unfortunately, it is not in the city center, so you must take public transportation to get there. If your finances are tight, you can take the public bus from Ninh Hoa to Doc Let or taxi for around $40.00. We recommend booking a Grab taxi for the best rates.

It is well worth the trip out here to Doc Let Beach. If you have young children, this is a great place to swim because the beach is serene and calm with few waves. This Nha Trang beach is also relatively shallow here, making it ideal for simply relaxing.

Windsurfing, parachuting, and waterskiing are just a few activities on the beach. This is also an excellent location for snorkeling in Nha Trang. Crowds of tourists have not harmed the tranquil lagoon, and the reef life is abundant.

Hon Tam Beach

Distance from Nha Trang City Centre: 7km via boat

While visiting the best Nha Trang beaches, stop by the beaches around Hon Tam Island. This location has been named one of the world’s most beautiful bays and has received many awards.

The Dai Lanh beach is relatively unknown, but among the lovely beaches in Nha Trang, stretching from a large fishing village in the north to a pristine sandy beach in the south. Take a dip in the East Sea or eat fresh seafood from the beachfront shacks. This tranquil beach, surrounded by mountains and casuarinas along the shore, is best visited from April to August.

Hon Tre Beach

  • Distance from Nha Trang City Centre: 5 km
  • How to reach: You can take the over-water cable car, speedboat, and taxi canoe from Nha Trang to Hon Tre island. The ferry is the cheapest option, but it will take approximately 20 minutes.

Hon Tre, also known as Bamboo Island, is the largest of Nha Trang’s beaches. Here are celebrated festivals such as Ba Chua Xu (February), Ong Nam Hai memorial festival (April), Ba Thuong Dong (September), and July full moon day. The Gold Stream, Chen Beach, and the fruit orchards along the mountain slopes will captivate you.
